Yesterday, Kei Cricket visited Nomandi School in Port St Johns as part of the Cricket South Africa (CSA) Community Festival initiative. The visit marked a significant moment for the school, which was selected by Cricket South Africa to receive vital ICT equipment aimed at supporting its educational and administrative needs.
Representing Kei Cricket, Mr TJ Ngqasa, Mini Cricket Coordinator and Acting Youth & Schools Coordinator, proudly handed over two laptops and a printer on behalf of Cricket South Africa.
Situated in the rural community of Port St Johns, Nomandi School was identified as a beneficiary of this impactful initiative, which seeks to make a meaningful difference in communities through the power of cricket and education.
The donation was warmly received by the school's Principal and School Governing Body (SGB), who expressed their sincere gratitude for the support. They highlighted how the equipment will strengthen the school's administrative capacity and contribute positively to the overall learning environment.
The excitement and appreciation displayed during the handover reflected the significant impact these resources will have on both educators and learners. The smiles shared by the school leadership and staff were a testament to the value of investing in education and community development.
This initiative demonstrates Cricket South Africa's continued commitment to supporting holistic development within communities, ensuring that cricket remains a vehicle for education, empowerment, and opportunity beyond the boundary.
Kei Cricket extends its heartfelt appreciation to Cricket South Africa for investing in schools and helping create opportunities that contribute to the growth and development of young people in rural communities.
